Mechanic
Our fleet keeps NW Michigan's most complex commercial job sites running. We need a skilled mechanic who knows heavy equipment inside and out — and takes pride in keeping iron in the field.
- Diagnose and repair heavy construction equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, and graders
- Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled service on fleet vehicles and equipment
- Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Document repairs, parts usage, and service history accurately
- Coordinate with operations to prioritize equipment availability for active job sites
- Work 2nd shift — afternoons and evenings — keeping the fleet ready for next-day deployment

- 3+ years experience as a heavy equipment or diesel mechanic
- Demonstrated knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and drivetrain systems
- Ability to diagnose problems independently and work with minimal supervision
- Experience with Cat, Komatsu, or John Deere equipment a plus
- Own tools preferred; shop tools and equipment provided
- 2nd shift availability required — afternoon/evening schedule
