Gerber holds current certifications across safety disciplines, maintains an active builder license in Michigan, and carries memberships with Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC), Builders Exchange of Grand Rapids, and Builders Exchange of Traverse City.

When a project requires compliance documentation, insurance certificates, or contractor prequalification packages, we have what you need.

Safety training is part of how our crews are onboarded, how our sites are run, and how we protect our people and yours. Our safety program is managed in partnership with SMI Safety.

OSHA 10 — Annual Training

All field personnel complete OSHA 10-hour safety training on a yearly basis, covering hazard recognition, avoidance, and prevention on construction sites.

CPR & First Aid

All field personnel maintain current certification in CPR and first aid response.

Respiratory Protection

Certified in respiratory hazard identification and proper use of protective equipment on site.

Fall Protection

Training and certification covering fall hazard recognition, prevention systems, and equipment use.

Confined Space Entry

Permit-required confined space procedures, atmospheric testing, and rescue protocols.

Powder Actuated Tools

Certified operators for powder actuated fastening systems used in steel and concrete applications.

ANSI Aerial Lift

ANSI-compliant aerial lift and scissor lift certification for elevated work operations.

ANSI Rough Terrain Forklift

Operator certification for rough terrain forklift equipment on active construction sites.

SMI Safety — Safety Program Partner

Gerber's safety program is administered in partnership with SMI Safety. SMI provides ongoing training, site safety oversight, and compliance documentation across all Gerber operations.
